I take every poll with a grain of salt.
And yet, this one is just too irresistible.
Because it’s not an election poll. It’s a public policy poll, and contextually, its findings are consistent with the data from November’s exit polls, along with the mood of the country over the past few months.
Which is why its results are so absolutely, brutally damning for Trump, and even worse for Republicans in Congress who will be beginning their reelection campaigns in less than six months.
Voters hate why he’s deporting people.
Voters hate how he’s using detention facilities.
Voters hate his tariffs.
We hate his budget bill. Even more after it passed than before.
Because he’s losing the PR battle.
The king of spin, a guy who has spun out of things that would destroy the average Republican in Congress, is losing the spin war.
What will the rats do, when the infection of desperation spreads?
