Let’s torch the anti-Zohran clowns

You know, the algo does a pretty good job of protecting right-wing creators from me seeing their content.

But sometimes, the algo misses. Just like this guy!

Because when I see a guy find a way to cry, preemptively, on behalf of millionaires and billionaires in the wealthiest city in the world—the 100-year reigning wealth champ, no less—I have to speak up. And tear down.

New York City has been the global hub for wealth since the recovery from the Great Depression, notably hosting and generating more wealth than any other city in the world.

And during the greatest economic period in American middle class history, the tax rates on that wealth were the highest they’ve ever been, ranging from 70-94% on top income between 1940-1980.

Meanwhile today, the top 2% in NYC pay, at most, a 37% tax rate on their top W-2 income (far lower with capital gains income, tax shelters, and other accounting trickery) despite controlling well over half of the city’s wealth.

Yet, the city has never once lost its spot as the wealthiest city in the world, and today it ranks #1 in millionaires, #1 in centi-millionaires (people with over $100M net worth), and #2 in billionaires, with a total metro GDP of over $2.2 trillion.

Who is thinking about the millionaires? Clearly, for the past century, NYC is thinking about the millionaires.

And when you consider that Zohran won the wealthiest and most educated areas of NYC, it’s clear the millionaires are thinking about Zohran.
